Jiří Klimenta je student ateliéru Intermédia 2 na Akademii výtvarných umění, pod vedením Pavly Scerankové, Dušana Záhoranského a Romana Štětiny. Letní semestr roku 2025 strávil na Det Fynske Kunstakademi v dánském Odense, v rámci programu Erasmus+. V své tvorbě vychází hlavně z intuitivní, uvolněné kresby, která nabírá až deníkový charakter, ale reflektuje různorodé sociální a často environmentální témata. Důležitou součástí tvorby je pro něj materiální zkušenost, kresby z listů skicáku se stávají součástí objektů, které ohledávají limity klasické malby na plátno. Rád tráví čas a kreslí v přírodě, objevuje novou hudbu a sbírá nezbytné staré i nové věci, třeba klíčenky a sošky psů.

Jiří Klimenta is a student in the Intermedia 2 studio at the Academy of Fine Arts, under the supervision of Pavla Sceranková, Dušan Záhoranský and Roman Štětina. He spent the summer term of 2025 at Det Fynske Kunstakademi in Odense, Denmark, as part of the Erasmus+ programme. His work is based primarily on intuitive, free-flowing drawing, which takes on an almost diary-like quality, yet reflects diverse social and often environmental themes. An important aspect of his work is the material experience; drawings from the pages of his sketchbook become part of objects that explore the limits of traditional painting on canvas. He enjoys spending time drawing in nature, discovering new music and collecting essential items, both old and new, such as key rings and dog figurines.
